title: “Change Schema” description: “Machine-readable representation of AI system and governance changes.”
Change Schema
The Change Schema provides a machine-readable representation of changes affecting governed AI systems, governance arrangements, or related lifecycle conditions.Purpose
The schema supports consistent recording and traceability of a change and its associated governance activities. A governed change can connect: * the affected AI system * change identity and status * change rationale * affected governance conditions * impact assessment * risks * controls * approvals * evidence * implementation actions * monitoring * assurance * resulting decisionsGovernance use
Change records can support the determination of whether an existing governance decision remains appropriate following a material change. A change may result in: * no additional governance action * reassessment * control modification * additional evidence requirements * additional monitoring * renewed approval * assurance activity * risk treatment changes * lifecycle status changesRelationships
The Change Schema is part of the broader AIGO machine-readable governance model. Change information may be related to other governed objects, including: AI system → change → assessment → decision → implementation → evidence → monitoring / assurance These relationships support lifecycle traceability.Validation
AIGO validation tooling can inspect machine-readable repository content and embedded governance references. This provides repository-quality assurance for the machine-readable governance layer but does not itself establish legal or regulatory compliance.Canonical source
