Assurance

The Assurance workspace records activities that provide structured confidence about the operation and effectiveness of AI governance arrangements.

When to use it

Use Assurance when an organization performs a structured assurance activity over governance processes, controls, evidence, decisions, or AI system operation. Assurance may draw on reviews, assessments, validation activities, monitoring results, evidence, incidents, changes, and other governance records.

What to enter

Record the assurance information needed by the organization’s assurance process, including where applicable:
  • Assurance scope
  • Objectives
  • Criteria or basis for the activity
  • Governance areas reviewed
  • Evidence considered
  • Findings or observations
  • Exceptions or limitations
  • Assurance conclusion or outcome
  • Actions or recommendations
  • Responsible person
  • Date
  • Supporting evidence
Clearly record the scope and basis of the assurance activity so its outcome can be understood in context.

What the result means

An assurance record provides a traceable record of an assurance activity and its outcome. Assurance can identify strengths, gaps, limitations, findings, or actions requiring further governance attention. An AIGO Studio assurance record is not a certification, accreditation, or conformity assessment. It does not by itself establish compliance with a law, regulation, standard, or external scheme.

What comes next

Use assurance findings to inform governance decisions, controls, risk treatment, corrective actions, monitoring, reassessment, or continuous improvement as appropriate.
