Getting Started

AIGO Framework Studio is organized around the governance lifecycle of an AI system.

1. Open Studio

Open the Studio web application at: http://localhost:3001 The Dashboard provides an overview of governance activity and available AI systems.

2. Register an AI system

Start by registering the AI system you want to govern. Record the system’s basic identity, purpose, ownership, and governance context. The registered system becomes the central record from which subsequent governance activities are managed. See Register for detailed guidance.

3. Assign responsibilities

Identify the people responsible for governing the AI system. Responsibilities should be assigned to named people where appropriate and maintained over time. See Responsibilities for detailed guidance.

4. Follow the governance lifecycle

Use the lifecycle workspace to progress the AI system through: Register → Responsibilities → Classify → Evaluate → Review → Approve → Validate → Monitor → Reassess Not every activity is necessarily completed once. Governance records may be updated or revisited as the system, its risks, requirements, or operating context change.

5. Maintain governance records

Use the dedicated workspaces to maintain supporting records such as:
  • Risks
  • Controls
  • Changes
  • Incidents
  • Evidence
  • Assurance
  • Rules
These records provide the operational history and supporting information for governance decisions.

6. Record decisions and evidence

Where Studio asks for a governance decision, assessment, review, approval, validation, or other outcome, record the decision together with the relevant reasoning, responsible person, and supporting evidence where applicable. Studio records should reflect the organization’s actual governance activities. Do not enter an outcome simply because a field is available.

What comes next

After completing the initial registration and responsibility assignment, continue through classification and evaluation before proceeding to review and approval. The detailed lifecycle pages explain what to enter at each stage and how the resulting governance record should be used.
