Review

The Review stage records a governance review of the AI system and the information produced during earlier governance activities.

When to use it

Use Review when the AI system or its governance records require formal review before a governance decision, approval, or other defined outcome.

What to enter

Record the review information, including where applicable:
  • Review scope
  • Records and evaluation results considered
  • Relevant risks, controls, findings, and evidence
  • Review outcome
  • Governance observations or required actions
  • Person performing the review
  • Date of review
The review should consider whether the available governance information is sufficient for the decision that follows.

What the result means

A completed review records that the relevant governance information was considered and identifies any resulting observations, actions, or decisions. A review does not automatically approve the AI system. Approval remains a separate governance decision where required.

What comes next

Where approval is required, proceed to Approve. If further information or action is required, complete the identified governance activities first.
