# Versioning

> Versioning and release approach for the AIGO Framework.

# Versioning

AIGO uses explicit framework versions so that organizations can identify the exact governance baseline they are using.

## Current version

The current published baseline is:

**AIGO Framework v0.1**

## Version meaning

A framework version represents a controlled baseline of the framework's documents, schemas, mappings, guidance, and supporting validation structure.

Organizations should record the AIGO version used by their governance program.

## Incremental evolution

Future versions may introduce:

* improved framework content
* additional schemas
* refined mappings
* expanded guidance
* improved validation
* clarifications
* new governance capabilities

Changes should be traceable through the repository history and release documentation.

## Source

Release history and framework changes are maintained in the GitHub repository and `CHANGELOG.md`.
