AIGO uses defined terminology to maintain consistency across framework documents, schemas, guidance, mappings, and validation tooling.

## Why terminology matters

Consistent terminology is important because AIGO connects governance concepts with machine-readable schemas and mappings to external frameworks.

The terminology document should therefore be treated as a foundational reference when interpreting AIGO concepts.
