# Framework Principles

The AIGO Framework Principles establish the foundational expectations that guide AI governance.

They provide the conceptual basis for governance decisions, risk management, controls, assurance, and continual improvement.

## How to use the principles

The principles should be considered when:

* defining responsibilities
* assessing AI-related risks
* designing governance controls
* evaluating assurance activities
* making lifecycle decisions
