# NIST AI RMF Mapping

The AIGO Framework includes a dedicated mapping package for the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.

## Purpose

The mapping helps organizations relate AIGO governance concepts to AI risk-management functions, categories, lifecycle activities, governance, evidence, implementation, and assurance.

## Coverage

The v0.1 package includes mappings covering:

* NIST AI RMF functions
* categories
* lifecycle
* risk management
* governance
* implementation
* evidence
* assurance
* AIGO control relationships

## Using the mapping

Organizations already using NIST AI RMF can use the mapping to identify relationships between existing risk-management practices and AIGO governance structures.

The mapping can also support transition or combined use of AIGO with other governance frameworks.
