# ISO/IEC 42001 Mapping

# ISO/IEC 42001 Mapping

The AIGO Framework includes a dedicated mapping package for ISO/IEC 42001 and AI management system requirements.

## Purpose

The mapping helps organizations relate AIGO governance structures and activities to AI management system requirements, controls, lifecycle practices, risk management, governance, evidence, implementation, and assurance.

The v0.1 package includes mappings covering:

* governance

* AIGO control relationships

## Relationship between AIGO and ISO/IEC 42001

AIGO can be used as a governance framework that supports implementation of AI management capabilities, while ISO/IEC 42001 remains its own standard with its own requirements and terminology.

A mapping should therefore be interpreted as a relationship, not as automatic conformity.
