# Rules

> Manage governance rules and rule results in AIGO Framework Studio.

# Rules

The Rules workspace records governance rules used to support repeatable evaluation and decision-making within AIGO Framework Studio.

## When to use it

Use Rules when governance logic needs to be defined and applied consistently to AI systems, requirements, risks, controls, or other governance records.

Rules can support classification, evaluation, risk treatment, control assessment, monitoring, reassessment, and other governance activities.

## What to enter

Record the rule information needed by the organization's governance process, including where applicable:

* Rule name
* Purpose
* Scope
* Conditions or criteria
* Expected outcome
* Related requirement, risk, or control
* Rule status
* Version or effective date
* Owner
* Review information
* Supporting rationale or evidence

Rules should be clear enough that their application and resulting governance decision can be understood and reviewed.

## What the result means

A rule result provides a structured governance outcome based on the defined rule and the information available when it was evaluated.

Rule results should remain traceable to the rule version and relevant governance context.

Rules support governance decisions; they do not independently establish legal compliance, certification, or conformity assessment.

## What comes next

Review rule results as governance information changes. Update or reassess rules when requirements, risks, controls, system context, or governance criteria change.
