# Installation

> Install and run AIGO Framework Studio locally with Docker.

# Installation

AIGO Framework Studio can be run locally using Docker Desktop.

## Requirements

Install:

* Docker Desktop
* Git

No Python virtual environment or local database installation is required for the standard Docker setup.

## Install

Clone the AIGO Framework Studio repository:

git clone [https://github.com/BindBrain/aigo-framework-studio.git](https://github.com/BindBrain/aigo-framework-studio.git)
cd aigo-framework-studio

Start Studio:

docker compose up -d --build

## Open Studio

After the containers have started, open:

[http://localhost:3001](http://localhost:3001)

## Stopping Studio

To stop the application:

docker compose down

To start it again:

docker compose up -d

## Data persistence

PostgreSQL data is stored in a Docker volume so that stopping and restarting the containers does not normally remove governance data.

Do not remove the PostgreSQL Docker volume unless you intentionally want to remove the local Studio database.
