# Evaluate

> Evaluate AI governance requirements, risks, controls, and evidence in AIGO Framework Studio.

# Evaluate

The Evaluate stage records structured governance evaluation of an AI system, including applicable requirements, risks, controls, and evidence.

## When to use it

Use Evaluate after classification and whenever the AI system requires a governance assessment or reassessment.

## What to enter

Record the applicable evaluation information, including where relevant:

* Evaluation scope
* Applicable governance requirements or criteria
* Relevant risks and impacts
* Applicable controls
* Assessment results
* Gaps or findings
* Supporting evidence
* Governance decisions or actions resulting from the evaluation

Use the applicable AIGO evaluation process and the organization's defined assessment criteria.

## What the result means

An evaluation records the organization's assessment of the AI system against the applicable governance criteria.

Evaluation results may identify satisfied requirements, gaps, risks, actions, or areas requiring further evidence or review.

An evaluation is a governance record. It does not by itself constitute certification, accreditation, or conformity assessment.

## What comes next

Evaluation results should be reviewed before the AI system proceeds to the applicable review and approval activities.
